Rihm Family Companies continued its tradition of giving to charitable causes in 2022.  “In the spirit of gratitude for organizations that give so much in our communities, Rihm wanted to contribute in a meaningful way,” said Rihm President & CEO Kari Rihm.

Rihm Family Companies donated a total of $60,000 split equally among three important charities – Second Harvest Heartland, Truckers Against Trafficking, and St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund.

The three non-profits provided video statements on what it means to receive Rihm’s support.  You can view the full video here.

“Thank you, Rihm, for this donation.  It’s making an incredible impact on the 59 counties in Minnesota and western Wisconsin that we serve here at Second Harvest Heartland,” said Anne Laskey, Community Engagement Lead for Second Harvest Heartland.  “We can equate it to 10,000 meals that we’re able to distribute into our community.  Right now, we’re living through the hungriest winter in memory… so this donation is helping reach kids, seniors, families in the community who are having a hard time making ends meet.”

Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) Executive Director, Esther Goetsch, said their job is to educate, equip, empower, and mobilize the largest army of eyes and ears on the road – the trucking industry.  “Your {Rihm’s} financial support enables TAT to continue to provide our training free of charge at no cost to more industry partners, spreading this message even further… this is one more way you’re helping to combat one of the greatest human rights violations of our time.  So, thank you.  Thank you for taking the time to get trained.  Thank you for raising funds on TAT’s behalf.  Thank you for supporting our mission.”

Director of Philanthropy for St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund, Shannon Currier, said they operate 100% on donations and appreciate that Rihm has been a sponsor since 2017.  “Rihm’s support allows us to continue our mission of hope,” she said.  “Hope for professional drivers when an injury or illness takes them off the road.  Hope for better help.  Hope for drivers and their families… Thank you, Rihm, for helping us save lives and families.  One driver at a time.”

Rihm Family Companies is built on family values and giving back to the communities it serves has become a core part of living out its core focus.  “The Rihm family continues the tradition of showing gratitude throughout the year and especially around the new year by giving to those who need it most,” Rihm COO JB Rihm said.  “We cannot think of a better way to show we are grateful to organizations like these, that make an impact in our industry and local communities every day.”
