The new PACCAR TX-18 transmission delivers productivity, efficiency, and uptime to conquer tough jobs. Here is a brief overview of highlights for the new PACCAR TX-18 transmissions.
Advanced Power: PACCAR TX-18 and TX-18 Pro transmissions feature 510 max horsepower, 1,850 lb.-ft max torque capacity and a max operating GCVW of 140,000 lbs.
Twin-Countershaft Design: Helical gears and large bearings are optimized for higher engine torque and gross weights.
New 18-Speed Ratio: Set with 20:5:1 overall ratio with small, even steps for smooth shifts and excellent performance in all driving conditions.
Internal Oil Temperature Sensor: In-cab display of transmission temperature with driver notification and event log of excessive temperatures.
Expanded PTO Functionality: High-capacity 8-bolt bottom PTO opening and 4-bolt rear opening for a combined 160HP capacity at 1400 RPM.
Extreme Duty Clutch: Allows more controlled clutch slip and increased maneuvering time (TX-18 Pro only).
High-Speed Reverse: Features configurable reverse speeds for improved route time in reverse. The TX-18 features three reverse gears. The TX-18 Pro features 6 reverse gears, which pairs well with deep axle ratios.
Low Maintenance Requirements: On-highway maintenance intervals are 500,000 miles or five years, and vocational intervals are 250,000 miles or three years. Maintenance-free clutch.
