- New best-in-class LED headlamps boost lighting efficiency, offering a wider pattern and whiter lighting for better visibility. Signature LED daytime running lights add a signature Kenworth look.
- Halogen headlamps flow with the hood and integrate daytime running lights and an amber turn signal.
New side turn indicators: An unmistakable 17.3”-long LED side turn indicator, mounted to the trailing edge of the hood, increases visibility for surrounding traffic.
Kenworth started the journey by integrating engineering teams, aerodynamic experts and the styling department to push the boundaries of truck design and continued the development by involving over 100 truck drivers to produce the Next Generation T680.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Reads traffic conditions via front-facing radar sensor and modulates the throttle and the brakes to keep your truck at a pre-set distance from the vehicle in front of it.
COLLISION MITIGATION
Detects when the truck may be about to collide with another vehicle or object, alerts the driver and takes pre-emptive braking action — when necessary — to avoid or considerably reduce the severity of a crash.
SIDE OBJECT DETECTION
Constantly monitors a truck’s blind spots and provides the driver with audible and visual alerts when an object or vehicle has entered these zones — invaluable when making a lane change or negotiating tight delivery sites.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
This system continually monitors the truck’s location related to lane markings and automatically emits a distinctive audible warning whenever an unintended lane change (unsignaled) is detected — alerting the driver to make a correction.
LANE KEEP ASSIST
Uses camera input to identify when the truck is departing the lane (at above 37 mph) and “nudges” the truck back into position. Automatically discerns between turn signal indicated and errant lane changes. A disable switch allows for temporary disablement of the system.
TORQUE ASSISTED STEERING
Adds supporting torque to the steering column, enhancing feel and driver comfort while reducing fatigue. Three levels of torque are available based on driver preference, with the amount of assistance determined by vehicle speed (less at higher speeds).
