This year, Rihm Family Companies is celebrating its 90th anniversary. We’re not the only ones celebrating this grand milestone! The Minnesota Trucking Association has been representing our state for 90 years. Rihm officially became an MTA member in 1965. So 2022 marks 57 years together.

The 1930s were a turning point – not just because Rihm and the MTA were founded – but for trucking in general. The American Trucking Association was formed. The Motor Carrier Act was passed, authorizing the Interstate Commerce Commission to regulate the industry. And the first hours of service regulations were enacted, limiting drive time for truck drivers.

Our industry, and trucks, have come a long way since then. Rihm has thoroughly enjoyed growing alongside its customers and friends at the MTA over the years. As we move forward, Rihm is excited to continue its work to help advance trucking in Minnesota and work with the MTA to accomplish its goals. Thank you for including us in all efforts to positively impact trucking in Minnesota!
